UNNATI
(UNispace Nanosatellite Assembly & Training by ISRO)
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) of Department of Space (DOS), Government of India has offered to conduct capacity building programme on nano satellite development for the participants from other countries who are interested in developing their space programme.
The announcement of the programme was made at Vienna on June 18, 2018 by Dr. K. Sivan, Chairman, Space Commission/ Secretary, DOS during the UNISPACE+50 symposium. The programme, named as UNNATI (UNispace Nanosatellite Assembly & Training by ISRO), is being conducted by ISRO’s U.R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) at Bengaluru.
As one of the UNISPACE+50 initiatives, this programme provides an excellent opportunity for the participant countries to strengthen their capabilities in assembling, integrating and testing nano satellites.
The First batch of the training programme UNNATI, inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of State (Space) Dr. Jitendra Singh on January 17, 2019 has successfully concluded on March 15, 2019
First batch of this programme benefitted 29 participants from 17 countries (Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Oman, Panama and Portugal.
All the participants profusely thanked ISRO and India for offering this enriching training course and the generous hospitality during their stay at Bengaluru.
